Maths Magic Day

(1) NCSC -2014

There was state level Competition of NCSC (National Children Science Congress)Project  at Science city,Ahmedabad Dated on 29 & 30 November 2014.
Total 28 Districts Participated in this event.

10 schools from each district and total 280 students took part in this Competition.
Out of 280,,26 got selected for National level .

For the first time our schools participated in this project..
Our student, Maheta Karan (STD-10,R.U.R SCHOOL) got selected for national level competition.

He got Rs1000 .prize and Rs 500.( prize for every state level selected projects).

He will represent our school at National Level Competition at Bangalore on 29th  and 30th December 2014.

On 22nd November, the event called " Maths Magic Day" was held for primary section

(std 6 and 7) by Maths and Science Dept. Under guidance of Mr. chetan Thakar, 

These activities were done on this day.

1.       Howzat: In this activity students learnt basic operations like (addition, subtraction etc) through Clock Modeal
2.       First Memory: Under this activity, students have to match the cards using their memory power. <
3.       What is What: Basic Maths related questions (textbook based)
4.       Abacus: students learnt the place value and addtion and subtraction
5.       Master Quiz: Basic maths related card activity ( other than Textbooks)
6.       Math Whize: A game similar to chess but based on numbers (basic operations of Maths)
7.   Shopping Mall: Hands-on activity, how to find discount in rupees of various items in practical way.
8.    Measurement: How to weigh different objects properly and learn how to avoid ourselve get cheated by traders
9.    Magic Card: The student will tell you the assumed number by the participant
10.  Ground Game: Under this section, various games were played on school ground.            
11.   Tables Recitation Test.

Total 65 students were given away prizes.

Our respected committee members also were part of this event "Maths Magic Day" and they encouraged the students and department by their esteem presence.
